Better recycling

When reuse isn’t possible, we’re passionate about enabling ethical end-of-life recycling for our community. Tāmaki Zero Waste is one of 14 Community Recycling Centres in the Auckland Council Resource Recovery Network. We have a recycling yard with a weighbridge and sorting bins where you can drop off everything from bottle caps and cans to fridges, e-waste and batteries. Please note: We cannot accept green waste.

There’s a cost to responsibly managing items that can’t be reused or up-cycled, which is why some charges apply. We aim to keep prices fair while covering the costs of running a community-focused, zero-waste operation — including wages, repairs, compliance, and services. We’re always working to keep our charges affordable and transparent. See drop-off charges for details.

Book a pick-up

We can pick up and drop off goods to our local customers and further afield, by arrangement.

If you’ve got a large volume of goods to donate or an estate to clear, we can help you out with a sorting, pick up and drop off service within the Auckland region - by appointment.

We can also collect large volumes of recycling from business or residential customers. There is a charge to use this service but we try to keep costs affordable and calculate these based on volume and travel distance. Contact us for a no-obligation quote.
